Abundance: That’s the word I woke up with this morning. It rang in my ear like an alarm clock. It spoke to me as a reminder to the experience I have had in the recent weeks.
What is “abundance”? According to Merriam Webster dictionary:
Definition of abundance
1: an ample quantity: an abundant amount: the profusion
A city that has an abundance of fine restaurants
2: affluence, wealth
A life of abundance
3: relative degree of plentifulness low abundances of uranium and thorium
—H. C. Urey
The Oxford Dictionary:
NOUN
1 A very large quantity of something.
1.1 noun the state or condition of having a copious quantity of something; plentifulness.
- 2 mass noun Plentifulness of the good things of life; prosperity.
1.3 The quantity or amount of something present in a particular area, volume, or sample.
Both speak of a large quantity of something. It is up to us to further define what it means for us. It is a noun that we sometimes misunderstand, I know there have been times that I have misunderstood the true meaning of the word.
Waking up thinking and saying abundance this morning I wondered why is that in my head. All I could think of was how the past three weeks had been for me in Montana. IT started on the 28th of July 2018; I had a reservation to fly to Montana, I had saved my money for the ticket and bought it in early July. Something happened (explain in another topic), and it looked like I was not going. I was out of my money and ticket, no chance of recouping my money or another flight. Needless to say, I was more than upset; you can tell I was in an abundant amount of “upsetness” not a word but you get the picture. I finally made it to Montana the how and why will be explained in another topic.
I went with very little money; my original plan was only to go for two weeks 14 days. I stayed the full three weeks 21 days. For three weeks I lived in abundance because I learned that wealth does not always mean lots of money. Of course, I knew this but, traveling the way I did, my heart was low.
I found living in abundance is a feeling of endless gratitude to the universe and the people around you who share their plenty. Abundance is not abundance unless you share it. It’s not monetary; it is a form of love a sharing from the heart a way of being. We don’t have to be rich or wealthy in a financial sense. As long as we are rich and wealthy in our love for humanity, and in our understanding of one another, we can share the abundance (1.1 noun the state or condition of having a copious quantity of something; plentifulness).
I would like to thank all the wonderful people who taught me the true meaning of ABUNDANCE. I look forward to sharing mine with you soon.
