It’s been a while again that I have written anything on my blog.
Sometimes I feel everything has been said. I look around me and see so many changes some good some really bad.
Since my last post much has happened, I guess the most positive thing to happen for me in a long while. On 24 April 2019, I became a Dutch Citizen. May 9, I apply for my Dutch Passport and for my American friends the answer is yes I get to keep my American Passport, as I have dual Citizenship. It’s only taken 15 years. Yes, I could have gotten it taken care of a lot sooner, but I wasn’t in any rush. Besides, it would have been very costly.
My American friends ask me why I would do that, my answer very simple; why not? With how things are going in the US under the current administration I like the idea of a backup plan. Also, we still have the dream of living in Spain part-time. Being a member of an EU country I would not have to go through the hassle of becoming a resident in Spain or any other EU country well not sure about the UK who knows what happening there with Brexit.
The idea is still a dream but I am a believer that dreams can come true. It will not happen anytime soon, but when and if it does you will be informed.
Oh yeah, also 9 months smoke-free
